Where are the cast iron square gates used and what are the advantages?

Cast iron square gate is a small flat gate, which is widely used in water intake, municipal construction, water supply and drainage, farmland irrigation and other projects. It is usually set at the inlet of channels and culverts. It is used as a working gate to regulate flow, control water level, or Used as an overhaul gate to close the orifice to keep water. There are two types of cast iron gates: square and round. The cast iron gate is generally composed of two parts, the door leaf and the door frame. The material of the door body and the door frame is cast iron, which is generally cast and processed. The door body generally chooses the structure of panel and reinforcing rib, and the panel can be flat or arched. The door body is generally cast and machined as a whole, but the block composition type can be used for larger scales. The door body generally selects a whole metal water stop, which also serves as a supporting slider. The metal water stop is fastened to the door with countersunk screws made of the same material. The screw head and the water stop working surface are finished together, some of which have larger dimensions. It can also be "P"-shaped rubber water stop. The door frame is the connecting member between the cast iron gate and the foundation, which is equivalent to the buried height of the flat steel gate. The door frame includes two parts, a lower part frame and an upper rail. The lower part of the frame is generally cast as a whole. The guide rail can be connected to the door frame with bolts (screws), or cast with the lower part of the frame. When the door body is open to the highest position, the top of the guide rail should be higher than the horizontal center line of the door body. Features: The cast iron gate is generally equipped with adjustable wedging equipment, and the wedging pairs (such as wedges and wedges, wedges and offset pins, etc.) are respectively installed on the door body and door frame. Adjusting the wedge device can make the door body close to the door frame when the gate is closed, and reach the water stop requirement. The cast iron gate is usually equipped with manual or electric screw type hoist to operate the gate opening and closing.

The cast iron gate has the following characteristics:

1. The cast iron inlaid copper square gate is composed of door frame, gate, guide rail, sealing strip, drive screw, lifting block nut/hanging lug and adjustable sealing structure, among which the door frame and gate are made of gray cast iron or ductile iron The guide rails are arranged symmetrically on the left and right and connected with the two ends of the door frame with stainless steel bolts and positioning pins (for the gate of small diameter, the guide rail can be cast into a whole with the door frame). The length of the guide rail is generally 1/2 to 1 of the full opening height of the gate. /3, so the overall structure has high strength, high rigidity, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, large pressure bearing capacity, simple installation, compact structure, and space saving;

2. Operation and maintenance are simple, reducing operating costs, but the cost of cast iron gates is slightly higher than that of steel gates and has strong corrosion resistance. The material of the door body and door frame is made of cast iron, and the water-stop surface is inlaid with corrosion-resistant materials such as copper alloy or stainless steel. It has strong anti-corrosion ability and is especially suitable for sewage or seawater environments. Where there are special requirements, nickel-chromium alloy cast iron and other materials with stronger corrosion resistance can also be used. The water stop of the cast iron gate is all processed, which has good water stop effect and long service life of metal water stop.
